Q&A

Alginate is also known as algin, off white powder. It is natural polysaccharide extracted from brown seaweed like Lessonia nigrescens, Lessonia Trabeculata/flavicans, Ascophyllum nodosum, Laminaria japonica etc. It's a polymer compound composed of polymannuronic acid and polyguluronic acid. As a big alginate factory and worldwide supplier in China since 1968, Shandong Jiejing Group can produce 4 alginate types with different salts sodium, potassium, calcium to react with alginic acid to form sodium alginate, potassium alginate, calcium alginate, as well as through esterification of alginic acid with propylene oxide to form propylene glycol alginate (PGA).

Among of them, sodium alginate is most prevailing in food, pharmacueticals, dental impression, textile printing, paper, agriculture, cosmetics industry. If devided by viscosity, sodium alginate can be devided into low viscosity (less than 150cps, 1% soln), medium viscosity (150-500cps, 1% soln), high viscosity (500-1200cps, 1% soln). If devided by gel strength, it can be devided into normal gel strength and high gel strength. Anyway, Shandong Jiejing can produce all types of alginate you may demand.

Sodium Alginate is an attractive marine resource-based biopolymer. Due to the biocompatibility and gel strength of alginate, it has been applied in food industry for various purposes. These physical properties of alginate is related to compositions and monomer sequences: M/G ratio, mainly ranging from 0.43 to 2.52. No matter you want to buy high M ratio or high G ratio of sodium alginate, Shandong Jiejing Group can supply it. Meanwhile we can guide you how to choose appropriate M/G ratio to match your uses.

Fucoidan is a brown seaweed extract powder, a water-soluble heteropolysaccharide, and a unique biologically active substance of brown seaweed.

As an intercellular polysaccharide inherent in brown algae such as kelp, it exists in the cell wall matrix of brown algae, mainly composed of sulfate-containing fucose followed by a small amount of galactose, mannose, xylose, arabinose, uronic acid, etc., the main active ingredients is: a-L-fucose-4-sulfate.

It is composed of fucose (fucose), galactose, mannose, arabinose, rhamnose, uronic acid and sulfate groups in a chain structure, combined together to form an overall molecular structure chain.

Property characteristics: Fucose (fucose) content, organic sulfate content, moisture content (loss on drying).

Microorganisms: total number of bacteria, Escherichia coli, Salmonella, pathogenic bacteria.

Toxic and harmful substances: heavy metals, arsenic, mercury, lead, cadmium.

At present, the specification of high purity fucoidan powder prevailing in the international market is that the fucoidan content is greater than 85%. Under this purity specification, the corresponding fucose content is greater than 15% and the organic sulfate content is greater than 20%.

Suggested dosage: 1-2 grams per day for general sub-health conditioning, 2-3 grams per day for controlling blood lipids and blood sugar, and 2-3 grams per day for treating renal failure, 3-5 grams per day for cancer rehabilitation conditioning (5 grams recommended). Take 2 times a day , or increase the dosage as needed.

How to take fucoidan: Dissolve fucoidan powder with warm water then drink. Take once in the morning on an empty stomach before breakfast. Take again after dinner and before going to bed. It is good for well-absorbing.

Storage: fucoidan powder bulk is very easy to absorb moisture, so it must be sealed for storage. Immediately seal the opening after taking it out, and do not let the powder be exposed to the air for a long time. It is recommended to store fucoidan powder bulk in self-filling capsules, which is more helpful for taking and storage.

Precautions for taking fucoidan: Since the active ingredient of fucoidan extract powder has anticoagulant effect, if patients need to undergo surgery, please stop taking it about 2 weeks before the operation, and don't take it before the stitches are removed after the operation.

Fucoxanthin is an odorless, orange-red or reddish-brown powder, extracted from Laminaria Japonica, Undaria Pinnatifida Sargassum Fusiforme and other brown seaweed. It is a fat-soluble, easily soluble in ethanol and other organic solvents, but insoluble in water. Molecular formula C42H58O6, molecular weight 658.91, CAS number 3351-86-8.

Benifits:

●Anti-tumor activity: The main mechanism involves inducing apoptosis, anti-malignant cell proliferation and inducing cell cycle arrest.

  (1) skin cancer, (2) colon cancer, (3) blood system tumors, (4) prostate cancer, (5) liver cancer.

● Antioxidant activity: Fucoxanthin molecule contains 6 oxygen atoms, so it is more sensitive to free radicals, especially in the absence of under oxygen environment. In addition, the fucoxanthin molecule contains an allene structure, which has strong antioxidant activity.

● Protective effect: Fucoxanthin has a protective effect on eyes, bone and brain blood vessels, liver and skin.

● Anti-obesity effect:  Fucoxanthin can promote the transformation of white fat into brown adipose tissue, thereby accelerating the decomposition of fat in the body.

Fucoxanthin Uses:

● Used for various foods, such as butter, pies, green tea cakes and other baked foods, to increase color and function.

● Used as egg yolk colorants.

● Used as functional food for weight loss.

● For skin care and beauty products.

● Developed as a drug, it is used for the treatment of skin cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, liver cancer and other cancers. It has also been found to have certain improvements in Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.

Fucoxanthin belongs to the xanthophyll class of carotenoids, and some xanthophyll products have similar appearance, similar physical and chemical properties. The wavelengths of the spectral absorption maximum of several lutein substances in ethanol are very close (similar in petroleum ether), such as:

Zeaxanthin (zeaxanthin) 452nm, fucoxanthin (fucoxanthin) about 453nm, diatomaxanthin (diatoxanthin) 453nm, cryptoxanthin (cryptoxanthin) 452nm,

therefore, using ultraviolet spectrophotometry (UV method) can not identify them. Because the maximum absorption wavelength value of UV spectrophotometry at different contents of zeaxanthin and other lutein substances is almost the same as the maximum absorption wavelength value at the same content of fucoxanthin, and the product color is almost the same.

Only by standard calibration can qualitative analysis be performed accurately, and quantitative analysis can be performed on this basis at the same time. HPLC method is an effective method for qualitative detection of fucoxanthin and identification of true and false.

Now there are many suppliers supply false fucoxanthin at very cheap price. When we source fucoxanthin, we must be careful. The sole company in China that can produce true and pure fucoxanthin is Shandong Jiejing Group, who is the main drafting unit of the People's Republic of China Aquaculture Group Standard "Brown Seaweed Fucoxanthin Extract".

Fucoidan exists in the mucus secreted by brown algae, which can keep seaweed not be wet when they are not invaded by bacteria and ebb. FUCOIDAN's unique ways to fight tumors have been affirmed by a large number of authoritative institutions. Scientists believe that Fucoidan can fight benign and malignant tumors.

What are the anti -cancer effects of fucoidan?

1. Inhibit newborn of vascular, prevent cancer cell metastasis and expand

2. Activate natural killer cells and fight cancer

3. Apoptosis (APOPTOSIS)

Since the fucoidan is so good, is is just workable to eat more brown algae?

If it is just a general health needs, it is really good to eat more brown algae, but when there are special needs such as cancer prevention, you need to eat a few kilograms of algae in one day to get it (1 kg of natural brown algae can only extract 1 gram of fucoidan). Not only is it difficult to achieve, but it may also cause excessive salt and minerals, and worry about pollution. Therefore, taking the fucoidan extract is the most suitable method of safety and benefits.

How long does it take to take fucoidan?

If the amount of consumption is sufficient, it will be found that the body's system can get improved (such as better physical strength) in 2 weeks, but if you want to control the effect of cancer cells, it will take about 3 months in the early stage to the middle period.

Can fucoidan eliminate all cancer cells?

According to most of the research results, although the effect is not 100%, the percentage rate that can disappear or shrink the tumor is about 70%to 80%.

Why do fucoidan with different suppliers different colors?

Because the extract source is natural brown algae, there is a difference in color differences because of the species, extract purity, and different seasons.

Can fucoidan be taken with drugs?

Fucoidan is a natural food. Although it is not a drug, it is extracted by high concentrations. Therefore, it is recommended to take it in 1 hour after taking drugsto reduce possible interactive response.
